All right. I assent to the conditions. As either victor or victim I assent. The victory is ownership. Not possessing but owning. I'd rather own a foot of soil than possess the whole earth. It's the game. Own or be owned. I go in for owning. But if I cant own I go in for being owned. Being a brother dont count in this game. Being an owner: that only counts. Any sort of an owner, no matter how mean: he counts. Any sort of a possessor, no matter how magnificent: he dont count. This game's not played for ornaments but for ownership. I dont know what it's all about. What set it going and what'll finish it. I'm as blind as a bat on all that. I'm in it. That's all I know. And I play it. That I've made up my mind to. Play it for all it's worth fair or foul. Even if foul for me and only fair for the other fellow, play it for all it's worth. I didn't choose. It was never put up to me. I was chucked into the arena.
